There is a public policy in place until February 28, 2025, which enables certain visitors in Canada to apply for an employer-specific work permit.

Canada is among the highest ranked tourist destinations in the world. It is a prime destination for visitors wishing to visit family and friends or simply for leisure. Attractions such as music, film, sports, cultural entertainment, festivals and events, parks and recreation, shopping, natural beauty and accommodations draw millions of visitors annually.
Canada is ranked as a very business-friendly nation. It welcomes millions of people for business activities such as meetings, seminars and conferences, industry fairs, site visits, training, and business opportunities. These activities are not part of the Canadian labour market, and holders of a business visitor visa are not allowed to work.
Foreigners from a visa-exempt country must apply for an electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to enter Canada. The process is done online, and the cost is $7. The validity of the eTA is up to five years. If your passport expires before the end of the eTA validity period, you need to apply for a new one.
